RoomMeet

Refund Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how SLATE HOLDINGS LLC (“RoomMeet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles payments and refunds for RoomMeet purchases. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between those documents and this Refund Policy about refunds, cancellations, billing disputes, or chargebacks, this Refund Policy controls for those questions. This page describes RoomMeet’s stated practices based on how RoomMeet operates today. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee compliance with every law that may apply to you.

What You May Pay For

Depending on the school or class page, RoomMeet may offer free submissions, paid submissions, or both. When payment is required, RoomMeet currently sells the following paid products through checkout:

Standard Posting (“Standard”) is a monthly subscription. While the subscription remains active, you may submit additional Standard posts without paying a second Standard checkout charge for those included Standard submissions.

Skip the Line (also called “Priority”; together with related upgrades, “Priority / Skip the Line”) is a one-time payment for priority queue treatment for a submission. You may purchase Priority / Skip the Line at initial checkout or later as an upgrade for an eligible Standard submission that has not already been upgraded, when that option is offered.

Prices, availability, and whether payment is required may vary by school, campaign, or pricing test. Some schools accept free submissions. Amounts shown at checkout for your school control what you are charged.

Payment Processor

Paid purchases are processed by Stripe. RoomMeet receives payment status, amount, and Stripe transaction identifiers. RoomMeet does not store full card numbers. Payment-related personal information is also described in our Privacy Policy.

Your payment method statement may show a Stripe-processed charge associated with RoomMeet or SLATE HOLDINGS LLC.

General Refund Rule

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, or unless RoomMeet expressly states otherwise at checkout for a specific purchase, payments are non-refundable once processed.

Buying RoomMeet services means you are paying for submission handling and related queue or priority treatment under the plan you select. RoomMeet does not guarantee Instagram reach, engagement, roommate matches, housing outcomes, posting timing in every case, or any particular social media result.

RoomMeet may approve, reject, edit, remove, decline to publish, or otherwise manage submissions under our Terms of Service. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, refusal, rejection, removal, or non-publication of content that violates our Terms or content guidelines does not by itself create a right to a refund.

Standard Subscriptions

Standard Posting renews monthly until you cancel.

You can manage your Standard subscription, payment method, and invoices through Account Settings using Stripe’s customer billing portal when an active Standard subscription is linked to your account.

Canceling a Standard subscription stops future renewal charges. Cancellation does not automatically refund amounts already charged for the current or prior billing periods unless applicable law requires a refund or RoomMeet expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

Deleting your RoomMeet account does not by itself cancel an active Stripe subscription. If you have an active Standard subscription, cancel billing through Manage billing before or after account deletion as needed so future charges do not continue.

Priority And Skip The Line Purchases

Priority / Skip the Line charges are one-time payments, not recurring subscriptions.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated at checkout, Priority / Skip the Line and priority-upgrade payments are non-refundable once processed, including if you later request edits, removal, or deletion of the related submission.

User Cancellations, Deletions, And Removals

If you delete an unposted submission from your account, request removal of a posted submission, or otherwise ask RoomMeet to take down or stop processing a submission you purchased, that request does not create a refund right under RoomMeet’s ordinary practice. RoomMeet’s account and support flows ask you to acknowledge that deletion or removal review does not make you eligible for a refund on that post.

How to request edits or removals is described in our Terms of Service. Privacy and data-deletion requests follow our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.

Canceling an unfinished checkout before payment is completed means no charge is processed for that checkout session. An expired or abandoned unpaid checkout is not a completed purchase.

Rejected Submissions

Submissions may be rejected when they do not meet RoomMeet content guidelines or other review criteria, such as missing or invalid information or content that is not appropriate for the page. Review and content rules are described in our Terms of Service.

A submission’s rejection does not automatically qualify the purchaser for a refund. However, RoomMeet may, in its sole discretion, provide a refund or an opportunity to revise and resubmit when appropriate. Any discretionary accommodation does not create an obligation to provide the same accommodation in future cases.

Service Issues And Failed Delivery

RoomMeet depends in part on third-party systems, including Stripe and Instagram or Meta. RoomMeet does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or successful publication in every case.

If RoomMeet is unable to provide a paid service due to an error within RoomMeet’s control, RoomMeet may, at its discretion, complete the service, allow resubmission or reposting, or issue a refund. Refunds are not guaranteed when the service failure results from inaccurate user information, prohibited content, third-party platform restrictions, user conduct, circumstances outside RoomMeet’s reasonable control, or the user’s failure to cooperate in resolving the issue.

If you believe RoomMeet failed to provide a paid service, contact support@roommeet.net with your tracking number and payment details.

Duplicate Or Accidental Payments

Verified duplicate charges for the same purchase may be refunded after review. Accidental purchases, mistaken selections, or purchases made without authorization from the payment-method owner are not automatically refundable and will be reviewed individually.

Users should contact RoomMeet promptly and provide sufficient information to identify the transactions, including the school, tracking number if available, approximate time of payment, amount charged, and any Stripe receipt or statement details you have.

Promotional Pricing And Credits

RoomMeet may show different prices by school or run pricing tests. A lower upgrade price shown after checkout is still a paid Priority / Skip the Line upgrade at the amount presented for that upgrade, not a store credit or coupon wallet.

RoomMeet does not currently operate a general promotional credit balance for customers. Unless RoomMeet expressly states otherwise at the time of an offer, discounts or lower displayed prices do not create a separate right to a cash refund of the difference from another price.

How To Request A Refund Review

There is no automated self-serve refund button in RoomMeet. To ask RoomMeet to review a charge, email support@roommeet.net.

Include your name, the email or phone used at checkout or on your account, school or class page, tracking number if you have one, approximate purchase date, amount charged, whether the purchase was Standard or Priority / Skip the Line, and a short explanation of the issue.

RoomMeet will review requests individually. Approval of a refund is not guaranteed. Approved refunds will generally be submitted to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The time required for the refund to appear in the customer’s account may vary depending on the payment processor and financial institution.

Chargebacks And Payment Disputes

If you have a billing question, contact RoomMeet support first so we can review the charge and related submission. RoomMeet will not impose consequences solely because a user makes a good-faith inquiry about an unfamiliar charge.

If a user initiates a chargeback or payment dispute through their bank or card issuer, RoomMeet may pause related posting or account access while the dispute is reviewed by hand. RoomMeet may share transaction records and other relevant evidence with Stripe or the financial institution. RoomMeet does not automatically suspend accounts when a dispute is filed. If the dispute is resolved in RoomMeet’s favor, RoomMeet may keep related service paused until any outstanding balance is paid.

Separate from chargebacks, RoomMeet may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, fraud, abuse, or other reasons described in our Terms of Service.

Rights That Cannot Be Waived

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. If applicable law requires a refund, cancellation right, or disclosure that differs from this page, RoomMeet will follow that requirement to the extent required.

Governing Law

Disputes relating to this Refund Policy are governed by the Governing Law And Venue provisions in our Terms of Service.

Changes

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version. Changes apply to purchases made after the updated date, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Updates to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are governed as stated in those documents.
